Breathwork with Ruth is based on mindfulness, somatic awareness, emotional and inner intuitive intelligence.
Breathwork could be defined as the Work of the Breath. The simplicity of the breath, accessible in every moment and profound in its ability to transform. The breath brings us into the present moment, calming the nervous system and supports the release of suppressed emotions.
The Breathwork process demonstrates the necessity of attending emotional healing from a whole-body approach connecting thoughts in the mind, physical sensations and emotions felt in the body and inner intuitive guidance.
Breathwork is based on the knowledge that emotions are energy, energy-in-motion. An energy that is created in our body, in response to a physical or emotional experience we have, or thoughts we think. If the emotion is not processed and felt fully or expressed during the experience, it remains there, becoming trapped in the body. This trapped emotion in your body will continue to drive unhelpful behaviours, false beliefs and cause you to react as if you are facing the same experience again and again. Most people do not even recognise that this is happening. By using a specific guided breathing pattern, you will connect with those trapped emotions, dissolving and releasing them to create a life of ease and freedom. The principal here is the healing is in the feeling.
