Breathwork does not substitute for psychotherapy, and the facilitator does not diagnose medical or psychological conditions, reform medical treatment, prescribe substances, provide counselling or interfere with the treatment of licensed medical or psychological professionals.
Anyone with concerns of a medical nature should consult their regular practitioner. Clients with any mental health issues are required to gain consent from their doctor, psychologist or psychiatrist.
By registering for a session, you agree that your general health is good, and you will not use alcohol or recreational drugs directly prior to or during the practice, sessions or techniques.
Contraindications for Breathwork include, a history of cardiovascular disease, angina or heart attack, high blood pressure, glaucoma, retinal detachment, osteoporosis, significant recent physical injuries or surgery, recent mental illness or seizure disorders, a personal or family history of aneurysms, recently taken any plant or recreational drugs. You must advise the Breathwork facilitator if you have any of these conditions, or any other conditions of concern.
Pregnant women and asthmatics must obtain medical approval before attending a session. Asthmatics must have their inhaler with them during the session.
Breathwork can induce intense physical sensations and emotional release. It is important that you advise the facilitator if experiencing any unusual pain or discomfort during a session. Always listen to the signals from your body, intuition and logic to ensure you are making choices that are personally right for you.
By engaging in a Breathwork session you agree that you have read, understood all this information and that the information you have provided in relation to your health is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
